During each class weekend, students and the instructor will conduct discussions on children's books read for the required database.  Points earned for this project will reflect the thoroughness, accuracy and enthusiasm with which each participant presents information about books.  The focus of these discussions should be the reader's response to the literature and illustrations.  In cases where the book is read to the class, the director of the discussion will serve as a facilitator for discussion of the book and finish with a summary and appropriate analysis of the group's responses.
